Capitol Hill. A Historical Location with a young Mission Field.

Capitol Hill is home to people from every generation, but approximately 65% of those serving are in their 20s and 30s. That strong presence of young adults creates a vital opportunity to invest in the next generation of leaders – to serve their practical needs, offer encouragement in times of pressure, and point them to the hope and truth of Christ as they shape our future.

Our Mission

America’s Hope exists to share the hope of Jesus with our nation’s leaders, staff, employees, and others by building relationships, prayer, offering spiritual encouragement, and demonstrating God’s love through His word.

How Do We Do This?

America’s Hope is rooted in building genuine relationships that reflect the love of Christ. We walk alongside those we serve, pointing them to the hope found in Jesus. By listening to their challenges, praying with them in their struggles, and celebrating their victories, we share God’s love in both word and action. Through one-on-one connections, small group gatherings, and intentional outreach, we help create opportunities for leaders and staff to encounter the hope that can only be found in Christ.

Our Mission At Work:

Bridging The Church With The Capitol

Bridging the Church with the Capitol is not about politics or policy – it’s about presence. While our nation was founded on the principle of separation of church and state, that does not mean separation of faith and people. Leaders in Washington carry tremendous burdens, face immense pressures, and often walk through seasons of difficulty just like anyone else. By coming alongside them with encouragement, prayer, and compassion, the Church has the opportunity to remind them that they are not alone and that God’s love is greater than the challenges they face.

This bridge is built through genuine relationships rather than political agendas. Our role is not to lobby or legislate, but to serve. By offering spiritual support, pointing leaders to Christ, and being available in moments of need, the Church extends a hand of grace into the halls of power. In this way, the presence of the Church within the Capitol is not about blurring lines between institutions – it’s about carrying the hope of the gospel into every sphere of life, including the lives of those who serve our nation.

Why It Matters

What America’s Hope is doing on Capitol Hill matters because it reaches the very heart of our nation’s leadership. The decisions made on The Hill affect generations to come, and by sharing the love of Christ with those serving, we are investing directly in our country’s future. Christ alone has the power to change lives, bring hope, and transform hearts. By being a lighthouse in the community of our nation’s capital, America’s Hope shines the light of Jesus where it is needed most – offering encouragement, prayer, and the message of salvation to those who carry the great responsibility of shaping our nation.
