1. BELIEVE:
Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.
Acts 16:31
2. REPENT (TURN FROM YOUR SINS):
Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
Luke 13:3
3. CONFESS YOUR SIN TO JESUS:
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 2:5
4. CONFESS JESUS BEFORE OTHERS:
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9
5. TRUST HIM TO KEEP YOU:
He is able to keep you from stumbling.
Jude 24
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Amen”
Simply saying a prayer doesn’t save a person. Salvation comes through genuine repentance – a true change of heart where someone turns away from sin and places their faith in Jesus. The prayer itself isn’t what saves; it’s simply an outward expression of the inward decision to trust Him, surrender your life to Him, and follow Him. In that sense, the prayer represents your sincere commitment to Jesus and the beginning of a transformed life.
